Thermal shock test Systemhouse

At Systemhouse we are committed to maintain the highest level of quality and service towards our customers. With our latest investment, we have added a very valuable testing equipment to our in-house laboratory, specifically to perform tests on our customer’s finished products.

This ‘Thermal Shock Test’ will help determine the resistance of sandwich panels. It is a unique test for climate research on roof and façade constructions, in which constructions of 7m x 3m can be tested under high temperature.

The panel assembly is subjected to cycles of thermal loading by infrared heating of the external surface, which are applied in a determined sequence. After these thermal cycles the panels are subjected to a thermal shock by rapidly being cooled down. The sequence and parameters can be chosen to own choice, as well as eventual intermediate thermal shock.

However standard, all testing is performed according to and with knowledge of the international standards in the field of roofs and facades, such as EN14509:2013 or national habits. (Dutch, French methods)
